Why I do this:
I can't begin to
tell you how many quarters I pumped into video game machines during the
1980's and early 1990's. Like many of you, I spent my fair share of junior
high and high school days in dimly lit video arcades playing my favorite games.
When I heard about MAME a few years ago and got my first complete set of
ROMs from a fellow burner, I did what many others have already
done... I built my own
arcade
cabinet! For me, it has been a way to preserve a
little piece of my misspent youth forever. Since I can't invite all of you over
to play it, I figured the next best thing is to spread the vibe and help
make MAME available to as many other people as possible. I like to think of it
as a way for me to repay the favor I got when I got my first set of ROMs!
Please keep in mind:
MONSTARCADE is a hobby for me; something I started doing
because I really dig classic arcade games.
I do this in my spare time, but I do have
other priorities that will take precedence (such as my family, work,
etc...). So if you e-mail me and I don't get right back to you within the
hour, please don't be offended. I do read all of my messages and promise I
will answer your question(s) as soon as possible.
Having said that, here's my pledge to
you:
I pride myself on the high level of service and quality that I provide.
Most requests are turned around within 24-28 hours!
- Full sets include all available
ROMs and sound samples, plus some of the "extra" files like screen
shots, icons, and titles.
- Update sets include all new and
changed ROMs and CHD files for that particular release.
- All MAME ROMs are
ClrMAMEpro
verified.
- ROMs are ROMs - period. So yes, they
will work with any MAME emulator.
